Many young Italian men have been staying in the family nest on account of two main reasons: economic and traditional. It is logical that people stay in family because living alone results in economic burden on shoulders of people, which is unnecessary if they have a family to stay with. This situation is not specific to Italians. In many other countries, young adults are living with their families. For example, according to the US Census Bureau, 59 % men and 47 % of women between 18-24 depend on their parents for housing. Why do people pay high rents while they have chance to live with their families? Then, it is both economically and logically convenient to stay in family. Apart from this, traditional values is the other reason. Italian mothers have obsessive love for their boys. But, actually, this cannot be shown as a reason because every one of mothers loves her child, so this is not specific to Italian mothers. Actually, the writer, mentions about Italian men who are single and divorced. So, it can be said that the writer is digressing to the end of the article. In short, Italian men have been living with their parents for economic reasons and their mother’s obsessive love.
